What People Are Saying About Mary Stewart Pellegrini

Dear Mary:

This letter is to acknowledge your spectacular presentation on Spirit at Work. The best indicator of your successful presentation is that it took me 45 minutes after your presentation to get to the front of the line and thank you personally. The number of individuals who wanted to speak to you personally offered great testimony on the quality of your presentation.

You deftly combined many elements which make up "spirit" including the emotional, social, health and energy level and spiritual components. Your examples were candid and personal. You had a unique ability to bring the audience of more than 50 people together during your presentation. You developed a noticeable chemistry with members of the audience.

I hope that you will continue to participate in the ministry of the Career Transitions Center of Chicago.

Cordially,

Thomas E. Murray, Ed.D.
Executive Director, Career Transitions Center of Chicago

To Whom it May Concern:

My name is Marianne Bero and I am co-president of Immaculate Heart of Mary High School (IHM). IHM is a private, all women's Catholic high school that serves a diverse population of 500 women.

As an all women's school, we pride ourselves on the opportunities we afford our young women. The week of March 31st through April 4 we hosted Career Week at IHM. Career Week provides our young women the opportunity to research various career paths by affording them access to representatives of numerous careers. We also host an all school assembly and invite a keynote speaker who has a significant message to share with our students.

The keynote speaker we invited this year was Mary Stewart Pellegrini. Mary's personal story of her career path, her professional background specializing in organization management, change management, leadership development, performance management and diversity education was a significant message to share with our students. However, what made Mary's presentation unique was the concept of The Heart at Work. The Heart at Work introduces the theory of creating healthy work environments in corporate America by valuing the human spirit. This is a tremendous message for our students and goes hand in hand with our mission statement and reflects our tradition of education for the women leaders of tomorrow!

Our IHM community is most grateful to Mary for sharing her talents and her story with our students. Mary was so well received by our students that as Mary was leaving the assembly, numerous students stopped to shake her hand and thank her. I highly recommend Mary as a motivational/career speaker and her message will be of benefit to all audiences.

Sincerely,

Marianne Bero
Co-President, Immaculate Heart of Mary High School

Hi Dr. Stewart,

I just wanted to say thank you for leading such an incredible class. I have never been so personally challenged in any college course I've taken, and it was quite refreshing. I definitely felt the growing pains of realizing that there is so much more we can do to help bring justice and equity into this world, even though at times, it seems like an overwhelming task. The class was very demanding, as you explained in the beginning, and if it was not interesting as well, I probably would not have made it.

You are definitely inspiring, not only as a teacher, but especially as a business person and a woman. The passion you have for your work and teaching is obvious, and it made for an incredible class experience. I will put all this down on my evaluation too, but I just wanted to say thank you to you directly.

Kind regards,
Lisa Z.
